Hebrew Fonts For Microsoft Word

Oct 15, 2018  Then use FontBook to install If you want it to work exclusively for you, place in the Home/User/Font Directory. If you want available for everyone, install in Main Library/ Fonts Directory. Double click on Hard drive/ Library/Fonts. Some Hebrew fonts do not display properly. The font 'SBL Hebrew' is popular in biblical studies, but diacriticals do not position correctly in Word. Other fonts are fine in Word for Mac, such as the Hebrew capability built into Times New Roman, Arial, and so forth. Feb 07, 2013  Very frustrating since my Hebrew professor posts his lecture powerpoints online and i can't display them correctly on my mac. Nor can i do the assignments correctly as the hebrew font from the AFAT won't paste correctly into Word.

A further question is if I have Pages can i type in hebrew esaily or is it quite difficult (if possible at all) To quote from the link you were already given: 'Pages, Keynote, and iWeb have various bugs with input/editing but may work acceptably for some users, especially if copy/paste from other apps is sufficient.' Most people would not use Pages for Hebrew because of its bugs. Mellel is the best app, plus TextEdit, Nisus Writer Express, iText Pro, NeoOffice, OpenOffice, and StarOffice. MS Office for Mac does not do Hebrew. You can search the Pages forum for Hebrew for user reports: If you have other specific questions, just ask. Fristly, Thank you Rohn007 for answering. However, for anyone else who has been working with documents that contain large quantities of Hebrew and English (and I assume any other western language). THe new verion of Microsoft Word does NOT support the Hebrew fonts if you are using Time New Roman. THe work around is to save your entire document in another font that does support the Hebrew (we're really speaking about Biblical Hebrew. With the masoretic notation) To get the clostest to the Times New Roman, I saved the ENTIRE document in the Corsiva Hebrew font, and then resaves it with the 'Times' font, which converted the English text to Times, and left the Coiva Hebrew font in tact. This does NOT work for New Times Roman.

It displays it in a quasi-hebrew alphabet that looks somewhat new age, not complete hebrew. Hmmm perhaps but the last thing i'm looking for is another program to supplement a $800 program i purchased to 'do it all'. The major issue here is the frustrating incompatibility of Logos with Mac in general.all i want is to be able to display the Hebrew font in my other programs i use like in Powerpoint or Word etc.and on a PC that has always worked.

Usually once you install Logos, it also installs the fonts that Logos uses so that other programs can utilize those fonts.unfortunately this is not what happened in this case. I'm not 100% sure of this since I've never used Word, but as I understand it, this has nothing to do with Logos. It has to do with Microsoft. They haven't implemented support for right-to-left languages on Word for Mac in the same way that they have on Word for Windows. Nothing Logos can do anything about. And last I heard it wasn't something they planned to fix in the near future either. The best Mac program for Hebrew is supposed to be Mellel, which is Israeli, so it kind of has to work well.
