I know it is very easy to recover insecurely deleted files and am disappointed that DBAN has not worked for me. I'm looking for alternative methods to securely erase the data from this drive and have a week to do it. Could any of you guys recommend some software that will let me do this while running Windows? I'm open to try a program like DBAN again but seeing how it had a problem detecting the hard drives in the first place, I feel one that runs through the Operating System would have a higher chance of working. I feel something in the BIOS is not set correctly, and would prefer to not deal with that just yet. I would also like to know if CCleaner's 'Drive Wiper' feature is secure while using the Gutmann process. What do you have to say about that, good/bad?
