Docker 1.12 Install

Ok, I’ve dug in a bit into this “issue”. • Pulling and image works, so connectivity to registry and at least some calls to internal API work, so far so good.

I’m new to docker and trying to work through the Developer - Beginner Linux Containers. In section 2.0 (Webapps with Docker), after I run “docker run --name static-site -e AUTHOR=“cbedo” -d -P seqvence/static-site” it works. After running docker port static-site, I get: 443/tcp -> 0.0.0.0:32770 80/tcp -> 0.0.0.0:32771 I can then connect at localhost:32771 and see the “hello cbedo” site running in the container.

Apr 30, 2016  In the past with docker-machine I could run the following command to determine the IP address: docker-machine ip default. Fireweed plant project. This proved a convenient way to setup env vars within shell scripts so I could do things like run psql from host and access the postgres container being used by my app.

I then ran docker-machine ip default which at first didn’t work, but after a docker-machine restart, gave me: 192.168.99.100 But for some reason, I am unable to connect at. Chrome says “refused to connect.” Any help would be appreciated. I am running macOS Sierra 10.12.1 on a 2013 Retina MBP.
