I've had my D-Link products a few months now but haven't got my wireless bridge/adapter (G810) to work correctly. D-Link support (Sweden and EU) has been contacted several times to no avail. They have sent me a G810 replacement unit and a few firmwares but doesn't seem to care much about my problems. Their last reply was 'Hi. Ok then you should use WEP enqryption. The thing is that WPA enqryption doesnt allways work but WEB allmoast allways work.'
Since I wanted 108Mbps and WPA security I bought only D-Link products, hoping that would minimize compatibility problems etc. Said by: I have contacted D-Link support today. The tech support told me that there are issues related to the WPA-PSK for DWL-G810 (F/W 2.15). I know that WPA-PSK works without issues on a Dell notebook with build-in wireless card through my DI-624 (rev C3, F/W 2.50) wireless router. I guess before D-Link releases the next firmware for DWL-G810, we will have to stick with WEP 128-bit security level and enabling the MAC filter.
(Note: I never managed to get the WPA-PSK to work on DWL-G810 at all.) - Styx sounds like someone was pulling your leg. Said by: G810 connects after a while (paedisconnect error messages is logged on the DI-624). This means that the router has detected a security problem with the G810 and has disconnected it. A rebooting router or a rebooting DWL-G810 will cause this. After a session of configuring the DI-624 in WPA mode, you seriously need to unplug it for a few seconds to clear out any lockouts. I would do the same for the DWL-810. The way that WPA-PSK works is that there is an initial authentication attempt and then up to 3 retries -- all separated by 60 second intervals (that's 4 minutes).
Either the client or the AP can cause the retry because the authentication is double-blind. So, to recap -- don't use the same SSID for different encryption methods.

-- once you have your settings the way you want them, power cycle the hardware and reboot the computers. Said by: 1 XBOX directly connected to the DWL-G810 (also tested with a laptop) XBOX Media Center is used as dashboard and everything is working fine if physically connected to the network Results with WPA-PSK: G810 connects after a while (paedisconnect error messages is logged on the DI-624). As soon as the XBOX is started the G810 dies. Rebooting the G810 does not help as long as the XBOX is on. Same behaviour with laptop connected to G810.
